Objectives
The ACI online: Certificate in Airside Safety I training course is ideal initial or refresher safety training for all airport employees and service provider staff. It combines five online safety courses into a single certificate-level programme that provides participants with wide-ranging knowledge about – and an understanding of – the key elements of airside safety and how these elements unite to contribute to the airport’s overall Safety Management System.
This course trains participants in:
- the basic components of airside safety
- the key concepts of Safety Management Systems
- effectively managing human performance issues at airports
- approaches for the enhancement of safety, the improvement of operations and the prevention or reduction of accidents
- apron incidents and occurrences
- threats posed by Foreign Object Debris (FOD) and the elements of a FOD programme.
