Emergency response / First Aid – refresher course

Target Audience

In-house emergency response staff in possession of valid company first aid certification. 

Objectives

If you have previously obtained your first aid certificate, you are legally obliged to attend at least 4 hours of refresher training every year (in accordance with the Royal Decree of 15.12.2010 on first aid). This first aid refresher training ensures that your first aid licence remains valid.

This vital training course of at least 4 hours, recognised by FPS ELSD and mandatory under the RD of 15/12/10, equips emergency workers with the necessary knowledge and skills to provide first aid to colleagues who are involved in an accident or feel unwell. It is specifically designed for workers responsible for organising first aid in the workplace. Emergency workers are trained to recognise life-threatening medical conditions and apply the first aid principles while awaiting specialised services through this course and associated refresher training.

Course content

These training and refresher sessions ensure that first-aiders acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to recognise life-threatening medical conditions and provider fundamental first-aid while awaiting the intervention of specialised services.

THEORY

• These refreshers have a modular structure, with different topics handled on an annual basis. This prevents participants from receiving the same content every year. After a period of 5 years, all topics from the basic training are repeated.
