Target Audience

  • Any employee who has a first experience in a logistics job.
  • Any employee who has been working in ‘logistics’ for a while and wants their experiences and tasks framed.
  • First-line warehouse managers such as team leaders and supervisors.

Objectives

In this basic logistics course, you will learn everything you need to understand logistics processes. Starting with an introduction, we discuss trends and definitions within logistics and the relationship between logistics decisions and costs. We then go into more depth on logistics processes and the design of a logistics concept that meets strategic business objectives.

Planning is also covered in detail. You learn how to plan purchasing and procurement properly and how to optimise inventory management and forecasting. In addition, we cover JIT (Just-in-Time) and bottleneck analysis according to the Theory of Constraints.

Distribution Logistics is also an important part of this basic logistics course. You will learn about warehousing, production, transport and customs. Finally, we pay attention to performance measurement and reporting in Logistics.
