Target Audience

All warehouse staff in contact with the build-up of ULDs such as loaders, supervisors, aircraft loading planners, etc.

Objectives

Recognizing the different types of ULDs and have a clear understanding of their loading capacity.

Having the knowledge of the airworthiness limits of the ULDs

Understand how to prepare and secure cargo for an aircraft, and how to allocate the freight within or on a ULD.

Course content

• Knowledge of warehousing operations and safety regulations
• Handling goods manually (loading and unloading, sorting shipments, building up pallets, stacking goods e.g. in containers)
• Loading of special loads such as dangerous goods, live animals, perishables, …
• Handling of the ULDs & ULDs functionalities: aircraft and cargo securing according to the ULDR/AHM
• Weight and girth limits for different aircraft types when ULD planning according to the ULDR /AHM
• ULD build-up: on the job training
