Discussion of regulatory aspects, technical notions, risks and protective equipment applicable to this type of work.

THEORY

  • The powers of different persons.
  • Risks associated with working at height and the hierarchy of preventive measures.
  • Regulations on assembly and use of scaffolding.
  • Use of personal protective equipment and anti-fall protection devices.
  • The use of ladders.
  • Definition of ‘Permissible Load’.
  • Scaffolding and material selection.
  • Use and assembly of rolling racks.
  • Use of fixed scaffolding.
  • Checking of scaffolding before use.
  • Influence of weather conditions.
