Target Audience

Objectives

The purpose of this training is to acquire the necessary knowledge to safely perform work at height, on the one hand, and to assist in the assembly and dismantling of scaffolding under the supervision of a competent person, on the other.

Discussion of the regulatory aspects, technical notions, risks, and protective equipment applicable to this type of work.

Course content

THEORY

  • Use of personal protective equipment and anti-fall protection devices.
  • Study before assembly of fixed racking.
  • Placement and assembly plan.
  • Provision of documents.
  • Correct anchoring and anchoring plan.
  • Control of fixed racking during use, assembly, conversion, and dismantling.
  • Safe assembly of fixed racks.
  • Safe conversion of fixed shelving
  • Safe dismantling of fixed shelving.
  • Use and assembly of suspended shelving units

PRACTICE

  • Discuss internal safety and conduct rules.
  • Discuss scaffolding materials, fittings, and tables.
  • Explain the assembly plan, anchoring plan, and permissible load.
  • Check the material to be used.
  • Build a simple construction of a fixed scaffold.
  • Construct a simple rolling scaffold.
